Ciudad Juárez, a city and seat of the municipality of Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, wants clean air and wants it to stay that way. Hence the city is moving to make it mandatory for public transportation vehicles to switch from diesel to compressed natural gas (CNG).

According to a report by El Mexicano, the State Government’s director of urban development and ecology Fernando Uriarte Zazueta said that environmental issues will be mandatory and encouraged businessmen to switch to CNG as soon as possible.

As an incentive, the director committed to holding the price of CNG at its current level for the next three years.
