India’s automotive manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a company of Mahindra Group, has reportedly launched a new Compressed Natural Gas powered compact SUV. The KUV100 Trip bi-fuel version (CNG and petrol) has a starting price of Rs 5.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), about USD 7,925. The diesel version is 5% more expensive.
The KUV100 Trip with basic features is targeted at fleet operators and taxi aggregators looking for a compact car that is not very expensive to maintain but with good interior space.
The five-seater measures 3.675 m and is anticipated to be a popular low-emission vehicle in a market where air pollution is a major challenge.Engine performance has yet to be advised by Mahindra.
