Golden Empire Transit District (GET) of Bakersfield, CA, has awarded New Flyer of America Inc. (New Flyer) a contract for 24 Xcelsior® compressed natural gas (CNG) forty-foot, heavy-duty transit buses. The order, which adds a total of 24 equivalent units to New Flyer’s backlog, supports aged fleet replacement and the GET bus focus on environmental sustainability.
