In August last year, Kwik Trip Inc., the Wisconsin-based chain of convenience stores, celebrated the opening of its 15th compressed natural gas (CNG) station. Now, a little over twelve months later, the company has opened its 30th CNG facility. The latest station is located in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
According to the National Association for Convenience and Fuel retailing, Kwik Trip plans to open two more stations before winter’s end, in Windsor, Wisconsin, and Austin, Minnesota.
Furthermore, Kwik Trip’s own distribution fleet, Convenience Transportation, has reported surpassed 100 natural gas vehicles, with plans to convert the entire fleet.
