Norwegian shipbuilding group Kleven Maritime has launched yet another liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel – the Viking Prince. Kleven has now delivered five LNG ships and has three more on its books. Viking Prince will be delivered in March 2012, with a sister ship planned for delivery in September 2012. Deadweight is total of 6,500 tons, length 90 meters, width 21 meters, deck space of 1,050 m2. The environmentally friendly LNG dual-fuel engines ensure low emissions of NOx and reduced emissions of CO2. Kleven also has a contract with Rem Offshore, a fishing and supply shipping company, for delivery of a LNG-powered offshore supply vessel.
