Iveco Stralis Natural Power LNG 330
Iveco, Italian manufacturer of natural gas powered trucks, now has more than 200 Stralis LNG trucks operating on European roads, the company revealed earlier this month. By end of 2013 Iveco had sold 2,052 compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (CNG) vehicles worldwide, with 205 LNG vehicles operating in Europe alone. 43% of sales occurred in 2013.
Furthermore, and indicative of the growing interest in natural gas vehicles in France, Iveco says it expects end-2014 will see the NGV population double in that country.
According to information supplied by Iveco, there are 44 LNG refuelling stations operating throughout Europe, with two news stations set to open in the third quarter, in France.
Late 2013, Iveco has received the “Europäischen Transportpreis für Nachhaltigkeit”, a European transport award for sustainability, for the Euro VI-compliant Stralis LNG.
