Iranian CNG Infrastructure Bounding Away

In mid-January NGV Global reported 1,820 compressed natural gas refuelling stations in Iran. According to the Iran Daily, that number at the end of last week had grown to 1,826 with 50 more to be inaugurated next month. Amir Kishadi, administrator of CNG station construction project of Tehran province,  speaking at a station inauguration in the city of Varamin, reportedly said that CNG stations are supplying 19 million cubic meters of natural gas to vehicles per day. 450 CNG stations were built in the last Iranian calendar year (ended March 2011).
