American Fueling Systems (AFS), a provider of has opened its newest Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facility in Columbus, GA. This facility is the first CNG facility in the city of Columbus and the second largest in the state of Georgia. It is located on a major thoroughfare of Columbus less than 0.2 miles from Interstate 185 at exit 7.
This USD 2 million facility will service the fueling needs for the City of Columbus, Muscogee County Schools, and many other public and private fleets in the area. The presence of this public fueling facility in Columbus offers access to safer, cleaner burning transportation fuel with considerably less harmful emissions.
AFS’s newest station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers 3 dispensers with 6 hoses; and like all AFS locations accepts all major credit and fleet cards. It also features 24 hour on site assistance for drivers and guarantees a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
AFS’s CEO, Rahim Charania states: “Our aim is to become the first mover in the city of Columbus, Georgia. AFS has identified tremendous potential for alternative fuel sales in the Columbus area. This market is primed for growth and AFS will develop unique solutions to accelerate the rate of growth through its active business development capabilities”.
With this new facility the City of Columbus, Georgia and neighboring areas will, for the first time, have access to an alternative fuel that is cleaner for the environment, and sourced right here in the United States, explained Sergio Martinez from AFS. “Our goal is to meet our customer’s needs and provide them solutions that can save them money and improve their environment.”
