Autobuses de Córdoba, SA (Aucorsa) has announced a tender to contract the supply of a minimum of 19 urban buses of 12 meters propelled by compressed natural gas (CNG). The order may be extended by six units depending on Aucorsa’s financial position.
The successful tenderer will be able to supply the buses within six months of the agreement being signed. Any extension to the order will be placed within 12 months of the original contract.
The total amount of the bidding budget is EUR 5.872 million (USD 6.89 m) with VAT included. The deadline for submission of bids is set for 22 September, 2017.
Autobuses de Córdoba, SA is the public, municipal owned and managed public transportation service for the historical city of Córdoba in Spain’s south. It focuses on the provision of environmentally sensitive transport choices.
According to information on the company’s website, these will be the first CNG buses to join the transit fleet. Aucorsa currently has a fleet of 116 buses, 6 of which are either electric or diesel-electric hybrids.
