Alicia Milner, president of the Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance (CNGVA), was recently appointed to serve on Canada’s National Advisory Council on Energy Efficiency (NACEE). NACEE is composed of representatives from government, academia, and the private sector. Milner says the move signals the federal government’s growing interest and engagement with respect to natural gas as a transportation fuel. NACEE members provide strategic assessment and counsel regarding the federal government’s approach to meeting energy-related policy objectives. Having CNGVA engaged will ensure more balanced input on transportation energy use as only electric and petroleum-based fuel options are currently represented. The CNGVA’s Technical Advisor, Dr. Alex Lawson (also NGV Global’s Technical Chair), also serves on NACEE as an emissions expert.
