Empresas Lipigas SA, a Chilean gas company based in Santiago de Chile and with operations also in Peru and Colombia, is taking over Neogas Peru SA, a subsidiary of Neogas Compressed Natural Gas do Brasil SA and distributor of compressed natural gas (CNG), through an investment of USD 42 million.
Neogas Peru SA is a company dedicated to the distribution of CNG to industrial customers and natural gas fuel supply stations for automobiles.
Lipigas is an energy company that seeks to contribute to sustainable development through the sale of gas in Latin America. From 2010 it has been present in the liquefied gas distribution market of Colombia and from 2013, in that of Peru.
