CNG Container Carrier for Omrin

| The Netherlands, Omrin

Terberg Benschop XX YT222 CNG-powered container carrier (for Omrin)Omrin, a large waste processing company in the north of the Netherlands, places heavy emphasis on recycling and reducing its environmental impact by preserving resources. As part of this strategy the company is shifting its fleet of vehicles to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and operates a waste digestion plant which produces biogas. Part of this biogas (biomethane) is used to fuel the company’s fleet.

Dutch special vehicle manufacturer Terberg Benschop B.V. supplied a CC/YT222 Container Carrier (4×2) to Omrin which is fitted with a Cummins ISL G 250 CNG engine. The long wheelbase of the vehicle made it possible to fit a 960 litre tank to extend the refuelling interval.

“This is our first CNG Container Carrier and we are pleased to be able to support Omrin’s environmental policy with it”, a Terberg Benschop spoesperson said.
