HAM and energy supplier Galp are cooperating to deliver the first Compressed Natural (CNG) gas fueling station to the municipality of Cornellá, thereby initiating Galp’s natural gas refueling network in the province of Barcelona. The service station is located at Cornellá de Llobregat in a locality with close proximity to a major stadium, business park and the Bellvitge Hospital, an area of high traffic volume.
The CNG station has been installed by HAM which owns the facility and is responsible for the operation. That together with Galp’s confidence in reaffirming its commitment to innovation and respect for the environment, as well as its commitment to the installation of natural gas dispensers at its service stations in Spain, serve to give a new approach as an alternative to mobility in the transport sector.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Antoni Murugó, Marketing Manager of HAM and Jaume Suriol, Technical Director of HAM. They were accompanied by José Manuel Serna, project manager for Galp’s Spanish Network of Service Stations and Fernando Martín Nieto, sales manager of Gas & Power.
In addition to this new CNG supply point in Cornélla, new openings are planned in La Junquera (Girona), Jarama (Madrid), Alfajarín (Zaragoza) and the Port of Barcelona.
