ATM, an Italian bus company serving Ravenna in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, has had eight of twelve new Irisbus Citelis natural gas buses join its fleet, with the balance to arrive before end of April, reports Resto del Carlino. The Euro V EEV-rated low-floor buses were selected for their technical characteristics, chosen because they “provide very low polluting emissions and external noise is also particularly low”. With the addition of the new buses the fleet will reach 85% natural gas -powered. Replacing diesel buses, the new vehicles have the flexibility for operation on coastal lines as well as suburban runs, able to travel more than 400 km fully fueled.
