Madrid Adds 276 Mercedes Benz Natural Gas Buses

Mercedes-Benz Citaro for EMTEMT, the transport company of the Spanish capital Madrid, is set to receive a total of 276 Mercedes-Benz Citaro NGT urban buses with natural gas drive in the next two years. This will be the fourth major order from Madrid in quick succession. 672 environmentally friendly Citaro NGT buses will soon be in service in Madrid. Read more »

NGV Rally Crosses Border Into Russia

2018 Blue Corridor Rally enters Russia (2) The participants of ‘Gas into Motors’, the world’s longest rally for NGVs powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), have crossed the border between Kazakhstan and Russia as they journey toward St. Petersburg. With 7,193 kilometers of Chinese and Kazakh roads behind them, the rally participants – a total of 15 trucks, cars and buses fueled mostly by LNG, as well as mobile NGV refuelers – will travel 2,688 kilometers across Russia.  Read more »

The 2018 International Motor Show Germany (IAA) has started and IVECO is grabbing attention with the presentation of a new sustainable zero-Diesel sweeper on its Diesel-free/Low Emissions Area stand. The new VS651 CNG truck mounted sweeper is based on a 210 hp IVECO Eurocargo Natural Power truck equipped with a sweeper body engineered by Johnston in collaboration with IVECO. Shell opens Hamburg LNG station with Lahuttte and IVECO present

Shell completed the inauguration of its first LNG Retail station for trucks in Hamburg, Germany on September 18, adding another milestone in its journey to roll out LNG for the road transport sector within Europe given the increase in freight traffic on European roads. IVECO was in attendance with the Stralis NP 460. The new LNG station is located in the south of Hamburg at Georgswerder Bogen, an important refueling spot for freight transport near the Hamburg Port.
