LR-classed Hydroville Prepares Way for H2-Powered Vessels

Hydroville - H2-poweredAntwerp maritime group Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) has launched its new hydrogen-powered passenger vessel, Hydroville, classed by LR. The catamaran crew boat is the first LR-classed vessel to use hydrogen to power a diesel engine. EC Approves Alternative-fuel Funding for Czech Republic

The European Commission (EC) approved a measure this week that will see increased deployment of alternative-fuel vehicles in the Czech Republic. Korean Researchers Push HCNG Engine to Euro VII

Cooperation between KOGAS, KGS (Korean Gas Safety), KIMM (Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials) and Daewoo Bus has enabled scientists to develop an HCNG engine which is compliant with Euro-6 European emission regulations. Japanese Auto Trio Facilitate Hydrogen Fuel Infrastructure

From July 1, Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., and Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will receive applications requesting support to development hydrogen refueling stations in Japan. Earlier this year, the automotive trio have agreed on key details regarding a new joint support project for the development of hydrogen station infrastructure. The joint project (conducted alongside the Japanese government’s support for hydrogen stations) will partially cover hydrogen station operating expenses incurred by infrastructure companies. California H2 Fuel Expansion with Quantum Dispensers

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. has received multiple orders from Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, to develop and manufacture additional retail hydrogen fueling dispensers for the further development of hydrogen fueling infrastructure in California. The hydrogen dispensers are targeted to be delivered to and commissioned by Linde North America around the fourth quarter of 2015.
