Wes Amelie, a 1,036 teu containership, re-entered service this week for German shipping management company Wessels Reederei GmbH after being converted to Liquefied Natural Gas fuel. The conversion work was carried out at German Dry Docks in Bremerhaven. It is claimed that this is the first ship of its kind to be converted to use the environmentally friendly fuel. Read more »
