Calor Invests in Volvo LNG Trucks to Meet 2040 Emissions Target
Calor, a U.K. energy provider, has invested in the next generation of LNG vehicles, which offer a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions* compared to their diesel counterparts (1). Calor will be operating a number of Volvo FM LNG trucks on its national trunking operation, fuelled by its national footprint of LNG stations. Netherlands Introduces New LNG Incentive Scheme
The Netherlands has announced a new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) incentive scheme. The scheme will offer an 18.7 Eurocent discount per kilogram of LNG purchased between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2021. Chart Industries, Inc. completed the installation and commissioning of Europe’s largest LNG fueling station for AlternOil GmbH (AlternOil). A recent survey analyzed how environmental issues are viewed by Finnish and Swedish heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) fleet owners. According to the results, customers’ environmental expectations have increased in both Finland and Sweden, and 82% of fleet owners in both countries agree that an environment-focused mindset is a permanent phenomenon and not a passing trend. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) are low-emission fuel alternatives for road transport that are also cost effective. Read more »
