Calor Invests in Volvo LNG Trucks to Meet 2040 Emissions Target

Volvo-Trucks-Calor Calor, a U.K. energy provider, has invested in the next generation of LNG vehicles, which offer a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions* compared to their diesel counterparts (1). Calor will be operating a number of Volvo FM LNG trucks on its national trunking operation, fuelled by its national footprint of LNG stations. Netherlands Introduces New LNG Incentive Scheme

PitPoint LNG station in NetherlandsThe Netherlands has announced a new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) incentive scheme. The scheme will offer an 18.7 Eurocent discount per kilogram of LNG purchased between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2021. The scheme is in line with the EU’s ambition to reduce freight transport emissions and seeks to support logistics companies that (are looking to) use a cleaner fuel source. Read more »

Two LNG Shunter Locomotives Planned in Estonia

Chart Builds Europe’s Largest LNG Vehicle Fueling Station for AlternOil GmbH

​​​​​​​A recent survey analyzed how environmental issues are viewed by Finnish and Swedish heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) fleet owners. According to the results, customers’ environmental expectations have increased in both Finland and Sweden, and 82% of fleet owners in both countries agree that an environment-focused mindset is a permanent phenomenon and not a passing trend. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) are low-emission fuel alternatives for road transport that are also cost effective. Read more »
