Shell completed the inauguration of its first LNG Retail station for trucks in Hamburg, Germany on September 18, adding another milestone in its journey to roll out LNG for the road transport sector within Europe given the increase in freight traffic on European roads. IVECO was in attendance with the Stralis NP 460. The new LNG station is located in the south of Hamburg at Georgswerder Bogen, an important refueling spot for freight transport near the Hamburg Port. Germany Reaches 50 H2 Filling Stations

The launch of the 50th public hydrogen service station has been celebrated by H2 MOBILITY, a company formed by Air Liquide, Daimler, Linde, OMV, Shell and TOTAL to advance hydrogen refuelling infrastructure in Germany. Located in Potsdam and with a refueling time of under 5 minutes, the station has capacity to refuel up to 40 vehicles per day and a facility for future refuelling of hydrogen buses. Read more »

India’s minister of petroleum and natural gas, Dharmendra Pradhan, reportedly informed the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam) convention on September 6th of a planned rollout of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling stations to reach 10,000 units. Gasum Accelerates Nordic Natural Gas Uptake with 50 Stations for HDVs

KOGAS Plans Nearly USD 900 Million Investment in LNG for Mobility

Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), a state-operated energy company, says it will invest 1 trillion won (US$895 million) by 2025 to establish infrastructure for liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered vessels and trucks, as well as hydrogen-fueled vehicles, reports news agency Yonhap. The announcement confirms views expressed by Ministry officials, KOGAS and KANGV earlier this year to develop the sector. Read more »

Biogas Upgrading and Liquefaction Plant was installed at the Skogn Papermill, NorwayThe worlds largest bioLNG plant, featuring Puregas Solutions technology, has been officially opened by Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg. The biogas upgrading and liquefaction plant was installed at the Norske Skog Skogn paper mill. The plant will convert the cleaned biogas from fishery waste and residual paper mill slurry into liquid bioLNG fuel. Q-LNG ATB Newbuild Contract goes to VT Halter Marine
