Italgas Switching 2,500 Vehicles to Natural Gas

Italgas fleet conversion commencesItalgas, the leading gas operator in Italy and third in Europe, in December commenced the conversion of its entire fleet to methane-powered vehicles from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The first new cars were delivered to Turin, and thereafter to Rome and Naples, two of the main cities in which the Italgas Group operates. The company has set upon what is calls a virtuous path toward limiting transport-related harmful emissions.

Conversion to CNG in PeruAccording to the latest statistics made available by Infogas, Peru’s data website under the control of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Production and Transportation and Communications, the number of natural gas vehicle conversions in the country has reached 0.25 million at the end of November 2017. North American transit bus and motor coach manufacturer New Flyer Inc. has announced a new order for its U.S. subsidiary New Flyer of America Inc., for 13 Xcelsior® compressed natural gas (CNG) forty-foot, heavy-duty transit buses. The buses will be supplied to Arlington Transit (ART), a new purchase based on a Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) contract. They will be the first New Flyer CNG buses for ART.
