Running on natural gas/biogas is currently the best option in Switzerland for saving on vehicle and fuel costs, says Gaznat SA. In addition to running green thanks to the 20% average biogas component of natural gas sold at the pump in Switzerland, this fuel can save up to 40% compared to gasoline, and certainly the price of a coffee every 100km, while the wide range of vehicles available in the market comes with an entry price of less than CHF 10,000 (USD 10,630). i-FAST Automotive Logistics, part of FCA group, is the first company to have used the Stralis NP powered by LNG in the vehicle transportation sector. After more than 600,000 km in service, the ten Stralis NP fleet of i-FAST Automotive Logistics reached a reduction of 15% in fuel consumption compared to diesel. Thanks to this positive result i-FAST AL will add five extra LNG units to its fleet from December 2017. Read more »
