Puldin Trans Service Ltd., authorised Iveco dealer in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, delivered 20 tractors model AT440S33T / P Stralis CNG (compressed natural gas) to logistics company Arena IT in March this year. Thanks to its investment Arena IT will significantly reduce the response of the environment from its activities and has become the first company in Bulgaria to buy CNG-powered tractors.

The vehicles are equipped with the Iveco Cursor 8 engine, EEV, CNG with 330 hp (243 kW). CNG technology delivers significant environmental benefits such as reducing CO2 emissions and particulate matter, and much lower noise levels while maintaining the same performance, productivity and speed as their corresponding diesel models and decreasing TCO (total cost of ownership) by 15%.

Managing Director of Arena YT Ltd., Mr. Ivan Tobiev, expressed his satisfaction at the handover event, sharing: “We tested the first two Iveco Stralis under full load and achieved on average between 25 and 27 kg. / 100 km. The fuel result was lower than expected. This proved the importance of natural gas as an alternative source of [clean] energy and profitability of the investment. ”

Iveco offers a full range of natural gas-powered vehicles from the 3.5 tonnes Daily Natural Power through classes 3,6 and 8 to the 40-ton Eurocargo Stralis, available with CNG and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas). More than 12,000 natural gas powered vehicles are in operation across Europe, of which 5,000 are Daily, 2,000 are medium and heavy ranges and 5,000 are buses.
