Bolivia’s ANH and EEC-GNV Align Systems for Improved NGV Safety

ANH and EEC-GNV Sign AgreementThe Executive Director of Bolivia’s National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH), Gary Medrano, and the Director Executive of the Execution Entity of Conversion to Natural Gas Vehicles (EEC-GNV), Alejandra Huaylla, last week signed a strategic alliance for the sustainability of the energy matrix and safe us of natural gas fuel for transportation.

After the signing of this alliance, the head of the ANH explained that the agreement will allow greater computer integration between both entities, streamlining of procedures, and reduction of time in the conversion of vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and in the requalification of CNG cylinders, so that any vehicle that circulates in the country with that fuel is a safe motorized vehicle.

Medrano explained that by uniting their systems, they will be able to track the approximately 400,000 vehicles that are running on CNG, to ensure each vehicle is fit for use.

The signing of the alliance with the EEC-GNV, an entity under the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, was carried out in parallel with the holding of the 1st International Forum of Gas, Petrochemicals and Green Fuels Bolivia 2018 that took place in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from August 28 to 31.

“We need to strengthen what so far has been done very well in the area of ​​vehicle conversion. Our vehicle fleet is approximately 1,200,000 vehicles and we have converted almost 400,000 vehicles, we are advancing on firm footing, when in 2005 there were 40,000 vehicles nothing more, now there are 400,000 vehicles, “said the authority.
