Consorcio Empresarial del Callao S.A. (CONECSA), Callao’s investment group in Peru, has just completed a major acquisition of sixty 12-metre Golden Dragon buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), which will be used for public transportation in Lima and Callao.
The acquisition is the first part of a total agreement to acquire 120 buses from Global Bus EIRL, Golden Dragon’s local representative and previous supplier of CNG buses for Callao.
All buses conform to the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima’s strict environmental specifications. The other sixty units will be acquired later this year.
