CNG station opening at Hoogblokland
Ballast Nedam has presented its 2010 Annual Report. Included as a 100% subsidiary of Ballast Nedam Concessions, CNG Net has extended it’s national network of largely green natural gas filling stations to 41, of which 7 are under construction, and also made a positive contribution to the profit. A start will be made in the second quarter of 2011 on the construction of two Ballast Nedam-developed filling stations for liquefied natural gas (LNG) for trucks.
Also in 2011, the first Green Gas (biomethane), the almost CO2-neutral natural gas replacement for automotive use, will be produced by refining biogas. This will be in partnership with a waste processing company that produces the biogas by fermenting kitchen and garden waste.
CNG Net activity in 2011 is fast-paced:
- Jan 20 – new station opened at Permerend
- Jan 25 – new station opened at Hoogblokland
- Feb 21 – new station opened at Roosendaal
- Feb 22 – new station opened at Etten-Leur
- Mar 01 -new station opened at Delfgauw
Including other suppliers there is now a total of 56 natural gas filling stations operational in the Netherlands.
