Aspro Ships New CNG Compressor – Electric or Gas Drive Option

April 1, 2010 | Argentina

The Aspro IODM 75 compressor, able to operate on natural gas or electricity

Argentine compressor manufacturer, Aspro has begun shipping an updated line of IODM 75 compressors with optional gas engine or electric motor drives. Matias Mangas, Head of Marketing, said the company has already sold more than 30 units of the new model in recent months, with deliveries currently in transit to India and Bangladesh. Mangas says the company is expected high demand from both countries, with Pakistan and parts of Thailand also showing a key interest. Areas with unreliable electricity supplies are proving most popular for the gas drive option. The Aspro IODM 75 line equipment is made up mainly of an horizontal reciprocating compressor, of 2, 3 or 4 compression stages driven by an electric motor or a gas engine with a direct coupling.
