ANGVA 2005, the first conference of the Asia Pacific NGV Association is shaping up to be a great event. (www.angva2005.com).
With Asia proving to be one of the most vibrant and exciting NGV
markets in the world, 44 exhibitors have booked spaces for the
exhibition in the brand new Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The conference program has some excellent papers:
- Md Shafiqul Islam of RPGCL will talk on the growth of the CNG infrastructure in Bangladesh.
- Muhammad Ashraf of HDIP will talk about the rapidly developing
program in Pakistan, now the third largest NGV country in the world in
terms of vehicle numbers.
- From outside the region Diego Goldin is talking about how to
manage safety based on experiences in the Argentina NGV program.
- Axel Fredrich will talk about experience with a taxi program in Berlin.
- OEMs are important for the NGV industry. Ching Gettman of Cummins
Westport will present a paper on NGVs and their contribution to
improvement of air quality for the Olympic Games.
- A D Chaudhury of Ashok Leyland will talk about the heavy-duty vehicle program in India.
The host country, Malaysi,a has several papers including one by Mohd
Ghazali Daud, General Manager/CEO – Petronas NGV Sdn.Bhd, on the
experience with NGVs in their long established program.
There are also a wide variety of papers on technical issues for vehicles and refueling.
The third day of the conference is given over to the Safety Workshop (see separate item).
