Agartala Natural Gas Network Under Way – Two More CNG Stations Coming

Officials of Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited (TNGCL), have informed residents of Agartala that the whole municipal council area will soon be covered under the company’s piped natural gas network. Part of the development is to add two more compressed natural gas (CNG) daughter stations and augment the existing station at AD Nagar, needed to cope with the planned introduction of 70 new CNG city buses. The TNGCL chairman, Shri Pabitra Kar, added that the supply of CNG and the natural gas distribution network were being gradually expanded across the northeastern state to make the state a green and environment friendly state. Tripura Natural Gas Co Ltd (TNGCL) is a joint venture of the Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) and the Tripura and Assam governments.
