Hexagon Composites ASA’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ragasco AS, has successfully completed rebuilding of its fully automated manufacturing plant, with production of gas containers increasing from 4,500 to 6,000 units a day. AGL Resources Inc. (AGL), an Atlanta-based energy services company, and natural gas provider El Paso Corporation (EPC) have recently signed a joint-venture agreement to distribute liquefied natural gas (LNG) across the southeastern United States to the heavy-duty transportation market, which includes heavy-duty trucks, buses, and waste haulers, and to peak-shaving facilities. Europe’s GasHighWay project was established mid-2009, aimed at promoting the uptake of gaseous vehicle fuels (biomethane and CNG) and especially the realisation of a comprehensive network of filling stations for these fuels spanning Europe. Huanghai Bus Wins Order of 200 CNG Buses for Xi’an City
Recently, Huanghai Bus won the bidding to supply 200 12-meter CNG city buses to Xi’an Public Transport Company, which is the biggest order for Huanghai Bus in the western region. The Huanghai DD6129S02F is a CNG city bus with front engine and rated for 100 passengers. With the rich natural gas resources available in the western region, CNG buses have become the mainstream city bus type for Xi’an, contributing to a cleaner city.
China Natural Gas Completes First LNG Fueling Station in Shaanxi Province
China Natural Gas, Inc. (CHNG), a provider of compressed natural gas (CNG) for vehicular fuel and pipeline natural gas for industrial, commercial, and residential use in Xi’an, China, has completed construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling station in Shaanxi Province. The station will officially begin operations on September 9, 2010 and marks the Company’s first development of an LNG fueling station in China.

Finland Orders Greenlane ‘Kanuka’ Biogas Upgrading Plant
Greenlane Biogas AB, a Sweden-based supplier of biogas upgrading technology and part of the Flotech Group, has announced that it has secured an order from Sarlin Oy for what will be the first commercial-scale biogas upgrading plant in Finland. The Greenlane plant will be installed in Mäkikylä, Finland and will process raw biogas generated from a waste water treatment plant to provide high quality biomethane, suitable for injection to the natural gas grid and/or vehicle refuelling. After just twelve years of production, the 30,000th Mercedes-Benz Citaro has now been delivered. The Citaro G CNG sporting silver metallic paintwork offset with traffic orange is fitted with an environmentally friendly natural gas engine. The M 447 (h)LAG engine rated at 240 kW (326 PS) complies with the EEV (Enhanced Environmentally friendly Vehicle) emissions standard without a particulate filter.
