
Clean Energy CNG Refueling Facility
CNG stations support roll-out of new fleets of eco-friendly refuse trucks; marks Clean Energy’s entry into Florida, New Jersey, and Idaho markets.
Leading refuse operators in Florida, New Jersey, Idaho and California have opened new compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel stations to support deployment of their growing fleets of CNG refuse collection trucks. The new CNG stations were designed and built by Clean Energy Fuels Corp. for Choice Environmental Services, Fort Lauderdale, FL; Central Jersey Waste, Hamilton Township, NJ; Allied Waste Services, Boise, ID; and South County Sanitary Company, San Luis Obispo, CA.

Utah’s city of Ogden has replaced ten diesel-fueled garbage trucks with new compressed natural gas trucks, all bearing the distinctive CNG symbol and all part of the city’s endeavour to save fuel costs and protect the environment. Richard Brookins, the city’s fleet and facilities manager, reckons the additional vehicles places Ogden at the forefront of Utah municipalities for commissioned natural gas vehicles.
