India, Noida
A lack of compressed natural gas (CNG) refuelling facilities hasn't stopped India's city of Noida from joining the ranks of cities with compressed natural gas (CNG) public bus fleets. Indian Express reports that the UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) launched a 30 bus fleet yesterday to service the city, despite the fact that the city only has two CNG refuelling stations currently. Some of the buses will refuel in nearby Delhi until such time as refuelling infrastructure increases locally.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has reportedly announced plans to introduce an endorsed CNG bi-fuel version of their popular Santro Hatch later this year or in early 2008. The company first hinted they would enter the CNG market in August 2006 but this is the first time they have publicly stated which model they will be launching. The statements were reportedly made by HMIL Managing Director H S Lheem at an export function in Chennai.
