Croatia’s Energy Institute Hrvoje Pozar has presented a Feasibility
Study of the Zagreb Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) project, prepared for the
holding company GKG, a group which encompases 23 companies owned by the
Municipality of Zagreb (including Zagreb Gas Distribution Company,
Zagreb Public Transport Company) etc.

exhibition and the papers truly spelled out the international nature of

The Eco-Fuel circumnavigation of the globe in a VW Caddy, exclusively
using compressed natural gas (CNG) as fuel has resumed in Karachi,
Pakistan, following the arrival by ferry of the vehicles from Dubai
earlier this month. Meeting several press and sponsorship commitments
in Karachi and Lahore, the expedition has now arrived in India, where
the media fanfare has continued.

Visalia Adds More Natural Gas Buses

December 19, 2006 – 11:25 pm

Source – A new batch of buses that will run on CNG is Visalia,
California's latest effort to reduce air pollution in one of the
country's most polluted air basins.  Seven new transit buses were
added to Visalia's fleet recently.  The buses cost $373,000
each.  Other San Joaquin Valley cities also have switched part of
their fleets to vehicles fueled by CNG.   About half of
Fresno's 100-bus fleet runs on CNG, and Bakersfield has 21
trash-collection trucks that burn liquid natural gas.

AEC Enters Technical Agreement with Deutz Dalian

Beijing based wholly owned subsidiary, has signed a technical agreement
with FAW Dalian Diesel Engine Company Limited ("Dalian") to develop a
range of DEUTZ Dalian, Euro 3 emission, 7.1 litre, natural gas ("NG")
engines.

Sea-Tac Airport Now Served by 166 Unit All-CNG Taxi Fleet

The Port of Seattle and the Seattle-Tacoma International Taxicab
Association (STITA) have recently announced that STITA met the Port’s
goal of having all association cabs fueled by CNG by Aug. 31,
2006.  All 166 of STITA’s sedan-type cabs now run on CNG.

ENGVA Scores Biomethane Win in Europe – Biogas Recognized as Transport Fuel

Natural gas vehicle industry stakeholders are celebrating the European
Parliament vote on December 14, 2006 on the so-called “Morgan Report,”
part of Parliament’s advice to the European Commission’s Sustainable,
Competitive and Secure Energy for Europe Green Paper.  The report
highlights the future role that gaseous fuels, specifically natural gas
and biomethane, should have in meeting future transportation fuel
requirements in Europe.  For the natural gas vehicle (NGV)
industry the vote is great news.

The US/Korean Clean Energy Initiatives Event to highlight the crucial
role US alternative fuel technology has played in the success of the
Korean natural gas vehicles (NGV) market was held in Seoul yesterday.
The event was attended by US Secretary of Commerce Mr. Carlos
Gutierrez, Secretary of Energy Mr. Samuel W. Bodman and US Ambassador
to Korea, Mr. Alexander Vershbow.

Reminder – Geneva Roundtable on Harmonisation of Standards

For several years, IANGV and ENGVA have been working to initiate a
process of harmonization of standards.  An ISO Roundtable to be
held on 10 Jan 2007 at UN in Geneva will be attended by decision makers
and experts from vehicle manufacturers, standards organizations,
regulators, gaseous fuels associations, gas companies. Offers of
support from experts and industry decision makers for this event are
now being sought.
