Clean Energy Supports Port Clean Up with Three Natural Gas Stations

USA, California

California based Clean Energy is
building three natural gas refueling stations to support air quality
initiatives in the San Pedro bay area. The company will also offer
special financing packages to fleets and independent owner-operators to
help them acquire new natural gas powered trucks. California’s port
areas are notorious for air quality problems, created by high numbers
of diesel trucks servicing the ports. Natural gas engines will play a
key role in the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan which
affects  more than 16,000 trucks.

California and Sweden Sign Agreement to Jointly Develop Biomethane and Other Renewable Fuels

In a ceremony held at the Ministry
of the Environment in Stockholm, representatives of the Kingdom of
Sweden and the State of California signed an agreement pledging the two
governments and their related industries to work together to develop
bioenergy, with a particular emphasis on biomethane.

Shell Spearheads World’s Largest Hydrogen Public Transport Project

The Netherlands, Rotterdam

Shell Hydrogen B.V., in partnership
with Connexxion Holding  N.V. and MAN Truck & Bus Company N.V.,  is
working towards creating the world’s largest hydrogen-fuelled public
transport operation in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Unlike other high
profile hydrogen bus projects, this one will make use of internal
combustion engines rather than fuel cells. The project aims to have the
largest hydrogen bus fleet operational in a single region before the
end of the decade.

An Hui Province Increases CNG Refueling Stations

30% HCNG Transit Bus Project for City Engines

USA, Reno

City Engines Inc., of Reno, Nev., has
been awarded an 18-month low emissions bus program to be jointly funded
by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (LACMTA) and
California's South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). The
LACMTA is the largest single operator of natural gas fueled transit
buses in the United States.

China Natural Gas Continues Chinese CNG Expansion

China Natural Gas Inc., (CHNG) has opened its seventh company owned
compressed natural gas (CNG) station in the Xi'An area of Shaanxi
Province, China, achieving its second quarter milestone objective. The
company set up its first station in December last year and sells on
average 20,000 cubic meters of compressed natural gas per station per
day to taxis and natural gas powered buses.

Delhi Airport Buses to Switch to CNG

India, New Delhi

Buses transferring passengers
from aircraft to terminals will be required to convert to CNG, under a
directive from the Airports Authority of India. PTI reports indicate
that the Authority has issued the directive to comply with the spirit
of Supreme Court rulings affecting public transport operators.

Informal Report on ISO TC 197 Plenary Meeting

Clean Energy Bags Trash Collection LNG Supply Contract

Clean fuels provider, Clean Energy, has scored a contract for the
supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to a major refuse collection
contractor in California. E.J. Harrison & Sons currently has ten
LNG powered trucks and will order at least another fifteen more, making
the fleet entirely fuelled by natural gas.

US Energy Initiatives Grants European Distribution Rights to TruckGas

RWE & Volkswagen Team Up For World Cup Football

German energy
supplier RWE has taken delivery of 23  compressed natural gas
(CNG) powered vehicles from Volkswagen. The vehicles include Caddys and
Multivans and will be used by RWE for duties associated with the World
Cup Football tournament, currently in Germany.
