Deutsche Telekom’s fleet management are DeTeFleetServices has taken delivery of 130 compressed natural gas (CNG) powered VW Caddy EcoFuels.
As well as being chosen for environmental benefits, the vehicles were chosen due to the exemption of CNG vehicles from congestion restrictions in some urban areas. On board fuel storage gives the vehicles a 430 km driving range, with an 11 litre gasoline tank also on board for reserve purposes. DeTeFleet already has a large number of CNG vehicles, including Mercedes NGT Sprinters and Opel Combos but the latest purchase is the first of CNG VW EcoFuels for the business.
